Five envelope styles

Square flap is the classic announcement envelope. Baronial has the pointed flap you see on wedding invitations. Euro flap is a deep pointed flap that reaches most of the way down the front. Petal fold has four rounded petals that overlap in the middle and close with a sticker or wax seal, so no glue is needed. Coin pocket is an open-top pocket for gift cards, seed packets and small notes.

Frequently asked questions

What size envelope do I need for an A2, A7 or square card?

Pick your card size from the list or type in your own, and the tool adds room on every side for you (1/4 inch by default). An A7 card (5 x 7 in) gets a 5.25 x 7.25 inch envelope front, for example.

Will the SVG import at the right size in Cricut Design Space?

Yes. The SVG is saved at true inch scale, so it opens at the correct size in Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio and Inkscape without resizing.

Should I use dashed fold lines or a score layer?

Dashed fold lines are cut as small slits, so they fold cleanly on any machine without a scoring tool. Choose the score layer if you have a scoring stylus or wheel: the fold lines come in as a separate color you can set to Score.

My envelope is bigger than my cutting mat. What now?

The tool warns you when the flat template is larger than a 12 x 12 inch mat. Use a smaller card size, cut on a 12 x 24 mat, or download the PDF, which tiles large templates across several pages that you tape together.
